Krewe of Cork Parade
Cheers! This walking krewe celebrates “everything wine.” About 200 members donned in wine and grape related costumes saunter through the French Quarter handing out wine centric throws to lucky recipients. kreweofcork.com

Krewe of Barkus Parade
This parade has gone to the dogs! Man’s best friend takes center stage in parade. Escorted by their human owners, dogs are dressed up in their festive costumes as they walk down the streets in the French Quarter. It’s a must see! Barkus.org

Dirty linen 2017 – The Science of a Good Party

Well hello fall, and hello Dirty Linen.

The science of making a great celebration even better is making sure all the key elements come together to at the right time, in the right place.

This time around, experience what you have come to expect and so much more, as the art galleries and merchants of Royal Street band together to bring New Orleans an original version of this much-anticipated event. This year the annual party will be held Saturday August 12th from 6-9 pm.

Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival

The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival returns to the historic French Quarter for its 31st annual gathering to celebrate the genius of Tennessee Williams, who once called New Orleans his “spiritual home,” joined by contemporary artists who are as honest and unflinching in their examination of the human condition as the Festival’s patron playwright. Founded in 1986 by a group of cultural enthusiasts, the Festival has grown from a small gathering of 500 to a five-day literary and multi-cultural event, which sees 11,000+ seats filled yearly.

Royal Carriages Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Three generations ago, in 1941, Clem and Violet Lauga purchased a horse-drawn wagon from Aunt Sally’s Pralines, and thus began Royal Carriages. Scenic wagon rides throughout the cobblestone streets of the old French Quarter quickly evolved into entertaining narrated tours explaining the unique history and culture of New Orleans, and the small family owned business began to grow.

Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival

The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival will be celebrating their landmark 30th anniversary Festival, March 30 – April 3, 2016. From modest beginnings—a single weekend of programming at Le Petit Theatre in 1987—the Festival has grown to include more than 75 events taking place throughout the city over five days.

Dirty Linen Night Returns For 14th Summer Celebration On Royal Street

Celebrating 14 years on Royal Street, Dirty Linen Night 2015 promises to be a hot night of art, music and fun! The event is presented by My House NOLA with support from Brennan’s, Bevolo, Nola Brewing Miss Me and That Sounds Cool. On Saturday, August 8th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 p.m. seven blocks of Royal Street galleries and boutiques will showcase fantastic French Quarter art collections for 10,000 guests, including tourists and locals alike.
