October welcomes cooler weather to the Big Easy, as well as an awakening of the supernatural! Get ready to let the ghoul times roll at the French Market during their annual Boo Carré Halloween Haunt. The free, family-friendly spooktacular casts its spell on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and showcases a Spooky Second Line that creeps throughout Dutch Alley, spirited live music, spine-chilling children’s activities, frighteningly fun arts and crafts and more. Kiddos who come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes will be treated to a complimentary Boo Carré tote bag (while supplies last) for trick-or-treating throughout the French Market District. Make no bones about it, digging up the perfect pumpkin to create a ghoulish jack-o-lantern is frighteningly easy, as the Farmers Market will have gourds of all shapes and sizes available for purchase. This spellbinding soiree promises a fang-tastic time for all!
