LUNA Fête returns for its sixth year to downtown New Orleans

November 01, 2019
LUNA Fête returns for its sixth year to downtown New Orleans December 12–15th from 6 to 10 pm nightly.

Free and open to the public, this light art festival is produced by the Arts Council New Orleans and features interactive installations, immersive projection mapping, and live performances from Lafayette Square to Fulton Street. Gallier Hall projection shows begin at the top of each hour.

LUNA Fête Six: The Shadow Circus welcomes famed French Artist, Camille Gross, whose projection maps have earned international recognition. A self-described “visual designer,” Gross’s work encourages onlookers to push beyond the bounds of imagination and feel welcomed into each of the magical worlds she creates. In a word, her work is transcendent.

Additionally, the Arts Council is proud to feature pieces by local LUNA Initiatives training graduates, including both professional and emerging youth artists, as well as special projects from NOCCA and Southeastern University design students. Explore local artists’ innovation and creativity with unique light art installations.

Enjoy an evening of artful experiences including a nighttime arts market featuring local artists and delicious food and drinks while discovering all the illuminating delights LUNA Fête has to offer. VIP experiences are also available at the LUNA Lounge, an onsite heated oasis featuring upscale catering from LeBLANC+SMITH restaurants, a private bar, exclusive light installations, and dedicated restrooms.
