MARINE CORPS BAND NEW ORLEANS, THE SAENGER THEATRE AND CHEVRON COLLECT DONATIONS FOR TOYS FOR TOTS AT “SANTA MEETS SOUSA” CONCER

NEW ORLEANS –The Marine Corps Band New Orleans, along with Chevron and the Saenger Theatre would like to extend an invitation to all kids “1 to 92” to the annual “Santa Meets Sousa” Holiday Concert on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m., at the Saenger Theatre. The holiday performance is open to the public; however, the donation of a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots is appreciated. While admission is free, all seating is reserved and requires an event ticket, which will be available at the Saenger Theatre box office (1111 Canal Street, New Orleans) or by calling (504) 287-0351 beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8 through the show. Toy donations will be distributed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program during the holidays to greater New Orleans children in need. Toys, including stuffed toys, must be new and in original packaging. “We are honored to partner once again with the Marines and Chevron for such an amazing cause,” said David Skinner, general manager for the Saenger Theatre. “We invite all families to enjoy an evening of holiday music benefitting the children of our community and we look forward to continuing this tradition for many years.” “Chevron is proud to partner with The Marine Corps Reserve and the Saenger Theatre for this holiday celebration while helping the children of our community,” said Leah Brown, public affairs manager for Chevron Gulf of Mexico. “We invite everyone to join us for an evening of holiday cheer and encourage everyone to bring toy donations on the day of the show to spread joy to our local children.” Additional donations for Toys for Tots will be accepted until Dec. 25 throughout the greater New Orleans area. Jackson, the band is comprised of 51 fully-trained active duty Marines that truly embody the phrase ‘Marine Musician.’ This is the 12th year the Marine Corps Band New Orleans has performed the Holiday Concert production tour benefitting Toys for Tots.
