Stephanie Jordan to close French Quarter Fest's Hilton Tricentennial Stage in Jackson Square this Sunday

NEW ORLEANS - Jazz vocalist Stephanie Jordan will be the closing act for the Hilton Tricentennial Stage in Jackson Square this Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5:30 to 6:45 pm at the 35th Anniversary French Quarter Festival presented by Chevron. Attendees will experience music from 1,700 world-class, local musicians, food from the region's favorite restaurants, and four days of unique special events from April 12-15, 2018.

French Quarter Festival 2018 Opening Day Highlights

French Quarter Festival presented by Chevron, the largest showcase of Louisiana music, food, and culture in the world, begins Thursday, April 12 with 'Locals' Lagniappe Day'. Opening day highlights include the 10 a.m. kickoff parade from Bourbon Street to Jackson Square and music on six stages from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. On the Hilton Tricentennial Stage in Jackson Square, Preservation All-Stars kick off a full day of FREE music. Catch two Grammy-winning groups on the Chevron Cajun/Zydeco Stage when Lost Bayou Ramblers are followed by Chubby Carrier.

Herman Leonard: Documenting the Giants of Jazz Exhibit Opens on April 5 New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Old U.S. Mint

The New Orleans Jazz Museum, in conjunction with Herman Leonard Photography, LLC and the GRAMMY Museum® L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, debut a new photo exhibition, Herman Leonard: Documenting the Giants of Jazz. The exhibit showcases some of the most iconic photos shot by prolific photographer Herman Leonard. The exhibition opens with a reception at the New Orleans Jazz Museum on Thursday, April 5, from 6pm to 9 pm, featuring live music from the Detroit Brooks Trio, refreshments, and a cash bar.

Historic French Quarter Easter Parade

Put on your Easter bonnets and head to The French Quarter Easter morning for the Historic French Quarter Easter Parade! It starts at Antoine’s Restaurant at 9:45 a.m. The parade, consisting largely of mule-drawn carriages and old convertibles, makes its leisurely way to the St. Louis Cathedral for 11:00am Mass. Following Mass, participants in the parade promenade to Jackson Square to show off their Easter bonnets.

Sippin' in the Courtyard Returns at the Maison Dupuy March 28th

The Maison Dupuy kicks-off the popular Sippin’ In the Courtyard Spring Series on March 28th. Featured musical entertainment for the evening will be “Alex Owen and the Messy Cookers”. The beneficiary will be Second Harvest Food Bank. Attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets to win baskets of coveted prizes such as overnight stays, dinners, bar tabs, and other items provided by the Maison Dupuy. All proceeds from raffle sales will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.
