Henry's Gin Bar Opens at NOPSI Hotel in the CBD

Krewe of Turtles Parade at Brennan's

On Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 11, 2019, Brennan’s will celebrate the turtles at the annual parade in their honor with a festive journey down Royal Street in “The Slowest Second Line on Earth” -- complete with a police escort and KinFolk Brass Band procession. In their "home sweet home" tribute, the 10 turtles ride in style on custom festooned wagons decorated by the Brennan’s staff and their families - each float portraying the meaning behind its namesake mother sauce.

Carnival season is upon us, and the parade schedule and street closures will affect The Historic New Orleans Collection's hours of operation. A complete schedule is listed below:

Tuesday, February 26 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 27 - Thursday, February 28* 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

*The Williams Research Center Reading Room will admit researchers until 2:45 p.m. Friday, March 1* 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

*The Williams Research Center Reading Room will admit researchers until 1:15 p.m. Saturday, March 2 - Tuesday, March 5 All properties will be closed.
