ESSENCE Festival of Culture®, presented by Coca-Cola®, returns to New Orleans July 4 weekend, marking 32 years that the celebrated event has taken place in the Big Easy. The action-packed event brings together music, culture, and daytime moments that reflect what the festival has grown to mean. Referred to as the “party with a purpose,” the annual, multiday event celebrates African American music, culture, and empowerment. This year, the star-studded fest features headliners Cardi B., Patti LaBelle, George Clinton and P-Funk, Kehlani, Brandy & Monica, and Latto. Also, enjoy inspirational speakers, a marketplace, beauty experiences, empowerment sessions, a wine and food festival, and more.

The flamboyant musical comedy, lovingly ripped off from the film classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail, features well-known songs including Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, The Song That Goes Like This, Find Your Grail, and more that have become beloved classics in the musical theater realm.

The Human League’s music in the early ’80s was synonymous with the era’s burgeoning electronic music scene. July 12: Tori Amos – In Times of Dragons Tour with special guest Bartees Strange
A pioneer across platforms, Tori Amos is a multiplatinum singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer who has been nominated for eight Grammy® Awards. Known for her emotive mezzo-soprano voice, piano-driven eclectic pop, and high-energy live performances, the classically trained musician was, at age five, the youngest person ever admitted to the prestigious Peabody Institute.

Having first played music together at the tender age of 12, the group reunited in 2012 and quickly hit their stride, transforming the project into a full-fledged live band. The American indie folk-rock band based in Los Angeles is known for its cinematic, storytelling-driven sound and the platinum-certified hit The Night We Met.
August 25: Buddy Guy 90
At nearly 90 years old, Buddy Guy remains a singular force in American music. Fresh off earning his ninth Grammy® Award in 2025 for Best Traditional Blues Album, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of the last living architects of electric blues will celebrate a historic milestone with the Buddy Guy 90 Tour.

The Canadian rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, and accomplished photographer has released 16 studio albums over four decades, starting with his debut in 1980. His third album, Cuts Like a Knife, reached the top 10 of the Hot 100 list and launched him into stardom with hit singles like “Straight From the Heart,” “Cuts Like a Knife,” and “This Time.” Adams’s songs have been included in more than one hundred film and television soundtracks, and he won a Grammy® Award, an MTV Video Music Award, and an American Music Award for his hit “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You.”
