New Orleans, LA (November 12, 2018)— The Steamboat NATCHEZ will again be hosting their annual Sailing with Santa Cruise on Saturday, November 24, 2018. The cruise is free to anyone who brings a new toy to be donated to the St. Bernard Battered Women’s Shelter and Crescent House of the New Orleans Family Justice Center. Boarding begins at 2pm and the boat cruises from 2:30-4:30pm.
Children of all ages are invited to take a ride on the Steamboat NATCHEZ! Everyone will have an opportunity to take a picture with Santa Clause while sailing down the Mississippi River. In addition, there will be special activities on board such as spray-on Christmas tattoos, balloon elves, and a chance to write a letter to Santa. Lunch is available for purchase. All participants, regardless of age, must bring a new, unwrapped toy for children, ages infant to 17 years, in order to board the free cruise. Staff will start accepting toy donations at 1:30pm at the Steamboat NATCHEZ dock.
The St. Bernard Battered Women’s Shelter seeks to empower all survivors of domestic violence through strong programs that promote independent living free from power and control by other individuals. Crescent House of the New Orleans Family Justice Center provides emergency shelter and relief for domestic abuse victims and their families.
