Creole Tomato Festival Kicks off June 9

The 32nd annual French Market Creole Tomato Festival, June 9 and 10, 2018, will kick-off with the Ripe and Ready 2 mile Run/Walk in partnership with the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation in Crescent Park followed by two days of live music, cooking demonstrations presented by Louisiana Cookin’ Magazine, food booths, kid’s activities, and the 3rd annual Bloody Mary Market in Dutch Alley. Jazz Museum at the Old U.S. Mint and Dutch Alley the musical line-up will feature local favorites Delfeayo Marsalis presents the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Darcy Malone & the Tangle, Little Freddie King, Big Daddy ‘O’, Storyville Stompers Brass Band, Fredy Omar con su Banda, Gina Brown, and Smoky Greenwell.

Festival will host fourteen food vendors offering up a delicious assortment Creole tomato dishes. This year’s food vendors include PIZZA Domenica, Loretta’s Authentic Praline’s, Crepes a la Cart, Andrea’s Restaurant, Cafe Dauphine, Gulf Tacos, Voleo's Seafood Restaurant, and more! Bloody Mary Market makes is return to festival with nine bloody mary vendors serving up their best bloody mary creations in Dutch Alley; participants include Revel Café and Bar, Red Dog Diner, Bar Tonique, Del Fuego with El Guapo Bitters, Superior Grill new Orleans, and BB Kings Blues Club and Restaurant.
