Celebrating “The Maid of Orleans,” New Orleans style! The annual French Quarter walking parade honors Joan of Arc’s birthday (January 6th-also Twelfth Night, the end of Christmas, and the start of Mardi Gras season) with medieval costumes, handmade throws, Joans on horseback, and a sword blessing at St. Louis Cathedral. Begins at 7pm on Conti Street and winds through the streets of the French Quarter.http://joanofarcparade.org/
