ART SPOTLIGHT: Stella Jones Gallery

For two decades, Stella Jones Gallery has played a pivotal roll in highlighting historical relevance of African American Art. The gallery fulfills its educational goals through lectures, panel discussions, intimate gallery talks and exhibitions with artists in attendance. Currently on exhibition are two Southern, mixed media artists, GEORGETTE BAKER of Atlanta and EPAUL JULIEN of New Orleans. BAKER and JULIEN pay homage to African Americans whose ancestors made their way to America unwillingly via merchant and slave ships by sharing history-based narratives, past and present, of dignity, promise and beauty. Gallery hours: Tues-Sat 10am-5pm, Sunday by appointment only. More info
